Round Robin Quilt

The
Modern Mini Mystery Round Robin
quilts have returned to their beginnings.

My starter block went out last March like this...

...and has returned to me like this.

This is the first time I've ever participated in a round robin.  It was quite fun to get someone's quilt in the mail each month and see how it was progressing and a mystery to what the next person would add to it.

When I had possession of a few of these little quilts for my border addition, I must admit that I wanted to keep them!  It was awesome to see a few inspiring borders up close and personal.

The sheet I sent with my block for participants to sign along the way did not make it back with my quilt, so I've no clue who added which borders (except for the first and last borders).  So, please let me know which border you added if you were in my group.  Thank you!

Sadly, the quilt I had last has not yet arrived back to Samm.  It's been traveling now for 3-1/2 weeks!...yet cannot seem to find it's way.  This is very disappointing to me, as it must also be for her.  I've never had mail go lost before and she tells me she's never not had mail arrive.  We don't want to break these perfect records, so we're staying hopeful!

Thanks, Michele (at quiltsfrommycrayonbox  ) for all your diligent work and tracking for this round robin.  You've done a fabulous job!

Annie

What a shame that one got lost (so far). I sure hope it gets found and sent on it's way to it's owner.

That Modern Mini Mystery is a fabulous concept and the one that came home to you is absolutely stunning! Shame about the lost quilt -- I truly hope it turns up soon! (PS I came in from Caribou Crossing blog)

Yours turned out really fun. I do like it so. And I have confidence that Samm's quilt will arrive any day now. It seems the Canadian mail system is slower that slow. Don't fret. Thanks for playing.

loved this when I was working on it ... I added the clocks and the grey black and maroon border xx

I meant to tell you that I did the first addition all around your initial block and the simple gray on two sides of that to push it a little askew

I'm not sure where you are but mail in Canada from anywhere outside the country can be ridiculously slow. Margaret's block was on it's was to me in Newfoundland because I was on holiday there. Sharon sent it some kind of 2 day delivery from the US and it took 3 1/2 weeks to get there. Now my daughter is sending it back to me so I can add to it and send it on. So don't despair. I do love your piece though. The colours and design are both super. Are those pins all over it or did you applique those little pics?

Your quilt is perfect! I love how the quilters stayed with your colors and created what I think is a perfect setting for your original block. This is just sooo cool! Have faith that the postal service will do its job for Samm's quilt...remember that 19 day little birdie? Enjoy your treasure!
