Mail Art

Sissy Travels the World.....

I tell you, this girl is so much the adventurer!  She takes more scenic routes than any sightseer could ever imagine.  Twenty-eight days to her most recent destination!

I've seen this face in rubber stamps with so many different names, I've decided to call them all Sissy.

She did have a long way to go and 10 to 14 days would have been a reasonable amount of travel time.  I wish I could so easily travel and see the world as Sissy does.

A few specially made postcards also reaching their "intended" destinations...

I keep telling myself to get started on my next quilt but I keep getting these small art inspirations.  They work into my wee amounts of crafty time better than a large project.

Happy mail day!

What you do is Art! and if it is fun, no worries about quilting.

She came a long way, yes, but I think she must have been holidaying on the way as she arrived fresh and beautiful with no evidence of a long, hard trip.
She was also carrying the most wonderful postcard of the blackbird.
All your other postcards here are exquisite, Annie. I like the first pink musical bird perched on the banner, and the last slightly worried looking little bird with his hopeful message.

Maybe Sissy sneaks off and has wonderful soirees that we would be very desirous of doing. Your envelope art and postcards are wonderful and bring a happy smile to my face every time you create and share them. Creative Wee Crafty Bliss Dear...

Annie,
Oh my gosh, I see my birdie postcard! As I said, it sits on my desk and constantly look at it and reread your message. I will have to send you an email to update the progress of my husband.

Again, thank you so much.

Fondly,
Tina Hansen

Nice work Annie. Guess we can start a "where in the world did Sissy go?" follow-along. And just where did she go that took so long????

I love your post cards! Why don't you combine that art form with quilting and make a post card quilt. It would be stunning.

I love Sissy's adventures! She seems to get around more than most of us. Keep them coming, please.

Your mail art is just fabulous. Sissy is a pretty lady but that bird has done a number on her hair!! Is he looking for food or a place to potty? Forgive me, I just can't help myself sometimes. All your postcards are fantastic but I do believe Sissy is my favorite!

The art postcards are always so happy and must put big smiles on the faces of the post office employees and the lucky recipients.
