Quoth the Raven Tag

Still playing with my new Raven rubber stamp.  A tag to share this time.  I'm having such fun with this stamp and this background technique.

And on the back.

What I've done is scribble with a Tombow marker on a large candle mirror.  Sprintzed it with water.  Then placed the tag (or envelope) onto the ink, then immediately blotted it to a newsprint paper pad to take up the excess water.  Where it needed more, I repeated the process in that area.  I did one color at a time.

I've found a new tag challenge blog here:  Tag Along Challenge Tag Along is celebrating its 100th challenge and the theme to celebrate is Anything Goes.

Fall is coming, but I hope not too awfully soon,  I'm still loving Summer.

This is truly beautiful and I love the fact that you have decorated both sides of the tag. What is a candle mirror that you have scribbled ink on to? Fabulous Fun Raven stamp for sure. Creative Challenge Bliss Dear...

I couldn't leave a comment right away because I had to rush off and play with a mirror and Tombow markers, what a fascinating technique. I didn't use a candle mirror, but it seemed to work all the same.
Tag, back and front, is terrific, if I had to choose I think I would have the back first and then turn it round later to admire the raven and all his writings.

I am sure if I tried whatever you just described, I would end up with a soggy, bloppy mess, but your bookmark is beautiful.

Oooh beautiful marble effect Annie, love the colours.....is that the dreaded purple I see before my eyes though?! Never tried those markers now I may have to....purely for research purposes of course!
You do make some super yummy tags....and mail art.....and sewing.....one cutsie crafter ;)

Glad you made it for the big 100, Annie, with this gorgeous double sided tag (the back of my non digital ones is usually rhe cardboard packaging from my porridge LOL). Hope to see you for 101 and beyond!

Outstanding Annie -- I don't understand what a candle mirror is. I just know that I love your take - and yes - I do love Edgar Allen Poe.

This tag came out beautifully!!! Thanks for sharing how you created it. What a great idea, to do something on both sides of the tag!

I was in Pier1 this weekend, and they already have their Fall and Hallowe'en merchandise out. I love Fall, but I agree with you: I'm still enjoying Summer and don't want to see that stuff. (But I couldn't resist making a few purchases.)
