A Birthday and Ms. Skellie

A big three O birthday came around this year and I had a fun time making a birthday card.  Those Tim Holtz 3" number rubber stamps don't keep anything a secret.  Aren't those candles clever?  I wish I could claim their design, but I saw them on a store card.

I swapped Ms. Skellie mail art with a couple of like-minded rubber stamping artists.  These are the envelopes I sent out.

Those new Planets postage stamps came out just at the right time for my envelopes.

I'm not accomplishing much on my to do list since purchasing a Kindle Fire and joining Bookbub.  I wish I'd done that hundreds of book dollars ago!

So many enjoyable pastimes, so little time!

Happy Mail Day!

I love the candles Annie and to be honest they look funky enough for you to have invented them anyway! Once again your mail art is just soooooooo wonderful, you are one talented young lady but of course you already know these things ;)

Ms. Skellie and blackbirds and her gravestones are suitably terrifying, I wonder what the mail workers think of it all?
I'll say it again, you do have marvellous postage stamps over there. And you make such good use of them too.
Candles and the big 30 are super too, just right, and cardmakers such as yourself can make a card with any age on it, imagine that!

Those candles really are super cute, and you are right about Tim's "30". No one could miss that. Congratulations to you. Hope you had a happy day. The last super big one including a surprise party was my 40th. It was such fun. Now in my late 70's, my birthdays are with my family. I rent a large cabin at a state park and we all gather for the weekend and always have a glorious time whether rain or shine. Loved the mail art. Your envelopes are absolutely beautiful. Really special. genie

I love your card and mail art. Isn't Bookbub great! I have more books on my kindle than I will probably read in my lifetime but at least I will never be without a book to read.

Hey Annie - I have missed you and believe it or not, I was going to write to you this morning to say where in the world are you??
As always your card and mail art is fabulous - you do such a wonderful job with everything you make!!
I love to read - there is not enough time in a day to do everything I want to do or should do. I don't know what you like to read but I have found the Anne Perry William Monk series to be quite entertaining. Now I am on to a Japanese series - not as good as Anne Perry but still interesting.
What is Bookbub?

I meant to tell you - those candles would look terrific on one of your quilted post cards. I look at the tea cup post card everyday - I look and look and softly feel the quilting. Everything you do Annie is unbelievably good! Right down to your printing which is picture perfect.

Wow these are some big numbers for that 30!!! (Crazy I'll be there next year though, I keep forgetting how old I am... Lol... Perpetually 28? Or some days I think I'm 25... Its funny that I actually have to think about it when someone asks! Lol). Also you know I am absolutely in love with the skellie envelopes!!! I would steal moms too if I thought I could get away with it!!!!
I finally was able to get USPS to let me order stamps, but they still haven't come... I'm starting to worry!

Once again, fabulous! I love the big numbers and candles on the birthday card, simple and PERFECT.
I use Bookbub too and Kindle unlimited. It is almost like the old Book of the Month clubs in that I read books I may have passed up otherwise.

Super Fun birthday card you have stamped. Planet stamps look perfect as a Halloween Moon on your wonderful envelope art. It is too hot att 103F to do much other than be in the cool pool or read. I am reading "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand. I just finished "Me Before You" by JoJo Moyes and before that I read her book "The Girl You Left Behind". I am enjoying reading this summer and therefore not being creative. Embracing the Good Life...

Wonderful birthday card (and I'm pretty darn sure the 'inspiration' candles you saw were in no way as fab as yours!) and love the Ms. Skelly mail art, I adore that stamp! Deb xo
