I too save way to many scraps. Don't worry about the quilting, me I straight line, well really wavy line, everything and haven't gotten any complaints so far. By the way truly loved the postcards from your last post!Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10541516828715108152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6686963620009544835.post-80169272354487090102020-12-13T14:42:58.267-06:002020-12-13T14:42:58.267-06:00What an astonishing marathon. I love how the fabrics go together in a really complex way, round and about, and I would think that you could spend a long time admiring this quilt even after you made it and know how it was made. It's a tour-de-force.
I enjoyed seeing the photographs of how you made the cushion, with the pins and cutter and see-through triangle, that looked to be calming before the final storm.
And just by-the-by I saw a rather nice shadow of a standard or table lamp and something else.....
sheila 77https://www.blogger.com/profile/00698767195924308373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6686963620009544835.post-8330097904439405432020-12-13T09:06:29.976-06:002020-12-13T09:06:29.976-06:00After all the struggles...such a beautiful quilt! ...After all the struggles...such a beautiful quilt! I love the quilt and the pillow and I am happy to hear that you have come to love them too. I hope you keep them. All of those different Christmas fabrics with the black fabric make an awesome combination. I love your little triangle garland above the pillow layout in the 6th photo down.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08438689262084152248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6686963620009544835.post-47409458219323688372020-12-13T07:45:06.240-06:002020-12-13T07:45:06.240-06:00This is absolutely beautiful...love the name ...bw...This is absolutely beautiful...love the name ...bwahaha...but really so freaking awesome! I love your story about this Christmas quilt! It is a Bah Humbug quilt. I’m glad that the final result is pleasing to you and a matching pillow! To tell the truth, I didn’t see anything wrong with it but I wasn’t the one seeing it up close and personal. I feel the same about my quilting! Your Christmas postcards are adorable as always! They bring Christmas cheer! I also have jars of small bits that I’ve saved. You are not alone! It's almost sad when I gift it to someone I love, knowing how much grief went into its making. Really, the quilt turned out great and those mistakes are only noticeable to you and once it's loved and covering you in its warmth, the memories will fade. Just like so many memories of 2020....Bah Humbug indeed!Kathy E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15326822392780979118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6686963620009544835.post-7268708413716606962020-12-12T10:20:31.108-06:002020-12-12T10:20:31.108-06:00Bah Humbug sounds like a great name for 2020 Chris...Bah Humbug sounds like a great name for 2020 Christmas Quilt.
