May
has arrived!
I love starting a new month in my art calendar journal project. I went a bit bird crazy for this month. Birds just seem to add lightheartedness to life.
After all the many pleasantries in April, that will be a tough act to follow. I'm actually looking forward to a more relaxed month of May.
April having been my birthday month and following my many posts of mail art in one form or another, I had a whole bunch of really amazing mail days to fill my little daily blocks with.
I've blocked a couple of days that I wasn't wanting to share. But other than that, I'm a boring open book.
Have a wonderful month of May!

Annie, your finished April pages look great! Looks like you had a fabulous birthday month! I love the birds in your May pages. Another awesome page!
ReplyDeleteLove you pages. The birds are perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat can you say about the May page except that it is perfect in every way? All the birds, the background pattern, the little girl collector and the umbrella on the top of the "bird" house - it's all so good. It would be such a pleasure to fill this in every day.
ReplyDeleteThat little girl and the birds are so sweet. Love the look of May, Annie.
ReplyDeleteApril all filled out looks wonderful too.
Had to take a breath and look at the April calendar with the Bad Girls with Attitude. I love reading all the little squares except for the couple of mysterious ones (good ones I hope). I wonder if you have kept a picture of the blank calendars, these would be so marketable. What a great idea to keep a (more or less) one liner a day calendar, it would be a pleasure to fill in and illustrate. I hope you have a wonderful May too and we look forward to reading about it in a month's time.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting set to fill up your May mail days! Are you ready?
ReplyDeleteThe little girl has the perfect expression.
ReplyDeleteYour calendar art is just so beautiful...such a glorious way to look back on what you did. So glad your birthday month was so wonderful...doesn't look like a boring open book to me. Enjoy May!
ReplyDeleteWow...such detailed and beautiful work :) Gorgeous
ReplyDeleteSixty - no way girl! You are too young hearted for me to ever envision you as 60! Happy birthday Huggs!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your month of May is ready to be filled in with fun, flowers and happy days! Have a great month.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday Annie! Your calendar pages are a breath of fresh whimsy. What a great way to journal your days and be creative. I have been enjoying watching our local birds with their Spring routines. Birthday Blessings...
ReplyDeleteI loved April and now I love May! Those birds are a very addition. Thanks for sharing your work, I'm inspired to get busy.
ReplyDeleteCall me super impressed. I love how your squares for April look and I love the way you blocked some days. This shows great imagination.
ReplyDeleteI think I have that same four bird stamp, even though I'm not known for my stamping! Beautiful page.
Hey Annie -- if I could only print as well as you- your printing is artwork within itself!! I really enjoyed reading your April page. This is one excellent idea and I think it is more beautiful once you have filled in all the days with your gorgeous printing. Okay bird lady - you are off to a great start for May!!
ReplyDeleteSandy
What neat and organised pages, great idea to use the girls to display the year numbers, your pages show wonderful creativity.
ReplyDeleteI really need to get a date stamp like what you used for May. I love how you used it. Beautiful work!

Hi Annie, I found your blog via the Kathryn Wheel, I entered the calendar challenge for the first time. I just love your pages, there so full of detail and I love your colour use. So I nosed around on your blog and just had to become a follower. So much to see and such inspiration. I just started my own Mixed Media blog and would love it if you would pay me a visit.
