Luggage Tags

She recognized her own luggage immediately.
 
 
I have those two suitcases and have been wanting to make decorative tags for them.
 
I love that face stamp but never know how to use it.  I decided to try and figure a way with it.  When I saw the challenge at Dragonsdream Tag It On, I decided to take on the challenge...make a tag illustrating a word beginning with the letter Z and include a face.
 
My word is ZANY
 

I was after a bit of a steampunk look for her.  I think zany fits steampunk.  As there are two suitcases I needed a sister tag for the other one.
 
 
 
I always do something with tag backs too.
 
 
These were a challenge as well as fun to create.  Not to mention making it easy to spot your luggage.
 
 
.. 
Now I'll have to think of more ways to use this face stamp.  But not right now.

    Zany! - who would have thought of Zany? That's such a brilliant word and certainly matches your tags, they are terrific. I love the purple rays and the little narrow tag with the word (very clever) and the really subtle colouring.
    Now everyone here wants one for their holidays. Are they made from mountboard? - they look quite substantial.
    And you've given me a new idea.....

    Now who is artistic and why do I think that zany is a perfect word for you!!!! Your tags are fantastic and I love the way you have postage stamped her eyes! I am going to steal your idea about attaching a word to the top of the tag - now that is one great idea!!

    I forgot to tell you - I had a blue suitcase just like that!

    Love the tags Annie! I have that face stamp too, so I will be waiting (with bated breath)to see how you creatively use that face. You have also inspired me to make a luggage tag too. I rarely travel, but I will be in July for a couple weeks, so I think a tag something I will make, even though I will be only carrying it on with me.

    "ZANY" is the perfect word for you…..I agree with the crowd 100%. Love the tags. They look like you…and are perfect for the old suitcases! Another winner, sweetie! You keep outdoing yourself….(like we should be surprised?)

    Love your tags! They are stunning. Even the backs are wonderful. No one would make a mistake and grab the wrong bag, but might grab it to get that tag!

    These are great! I love that you take your time with a stamp until it feels right. So much better than the slipshod way I sort of use when creating. This is something that I'm trying to learn, that intuitiveness that (for me) only comes after a ton of practice! And I also love the backs. Definitely zany and steampunk. :-)

    OK FOR REAL!!!? How freaking Cool!! these faces always intimidate me too, but you made pieces that looks beyond fab!! Now I feel like I should buy more face stamps! (or at least use the ones i have lol!!)
