Candy Wrapper Pouch

I just made this sweet little candy wrapper zip pouch!

What fun!

Yes, eating the candy AND sewing the pouch.

These wrappers are from the giant bars.  So finished, the pouch measures 4” X 7.5”

I didn’t choose very exciting lining or a bright zipper.  I just wanted to use a piece of fabric that was never getting chosen for anything.  Just in case the whole thing was a fail.

I couldn’t be more pleased.  I must make more.  Oh gee, I’ll have to eat more candy.  Isn’t that a shame!  :-)

I used this tutorial to make this pouch:

  1. I've done several of them. Last year I gifted a couple to friends. I used bags so I ended up putting some of the candy back into the zipper pouch so I didn't have to eat ALL of the candy just enough to get the remainder back into the pouch.

  2. Something different. Isn't that great that you need a giant bar and you've no packaging left so it is hanging around asking to be eaten. These look so good. I'll now check out up the tutorial as I'm always looking for pencil cases to take stuff to workshops and so on.

  3. These are just to cute. I wonder if I have time to make some in the next 4 weeks. (I am always slower than I expect to be.) Thanks for the link to the tutorial.

  4. I've always wanted to make one of these bags or maybe I just want to eat the candy. Either way, they are so cool!
