It’s been a beautiful Fall/Autumn. Suddenly though, it’s feeling a little more like Winter. But the calendar says Fall and many trees are still showing off their Fall colors. I’ve preserved a Fall paper leaf to decorate with.
I made the tag and leaf using preprinted scrapbook paper for a base. I added visual textures by spraying the papers with Distress Sprays and Oxide Sprays. I die cut the leaf shape then embossed the veins.
I added more color to the leaf with Distress Inks.
The tag background consists of die cut pieces, washi tapes and very small die cut letters.
As always, the back of the tag is finished as well. Just in case a breeze flips it over.
This leaf on the back of the tag is one of the new Tim Holtz Thinlit dies and I have added the vein embossing to these leaves as well.
Enjoy the Fall colors and weather. The snow will fly soon enough.
Gorgeous tags, beautiful design.
ReplyDeleteHappy November xx
You're right, it's been a beautiful fall. And your tag is beautiful! Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou really captured Autumn's splendor with this tag, Annie. Front AND back!!
ReplyDeleteGreat tags Annie. I like both leaves and how you used them on the tags. You really captured autumn!
ReplyDeleteAwesome tag! I always like that you describe how you make things...you are so talented!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag!! You are definitely right, it's starting to look a lot like winter! The leaves are beautiful, but with the freezing weather may shorten the color time. But I won't complain since it's been nice this long.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Definitely an Autumn tag.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful autumn tag!
ReplyDeleteLove the variation in the leaves!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh....I love the leaves.... you are a master at it
ReplyDeleteOh Annie those leaves - the colours and texture looks amazing as does the backgrounds. Such detail and so gorgoeus. Love both sides.
ReplyDeleteYour art is meticulously made, Annie, while still showing top class artistry. These two leaves are exquisite and will always be so, unlike the natural ones which gradually lose some of their beauty (and that's alright too).
ReplyDeleteI love the gold leaf on the symbolic passing-of-time clock and the gorgeously coloured and aged green leaf on the back proving once again that the back of your tags are always as good as the front. Great use of thin washi tape too and the "AUTUMN" letters.
So perfect for Fall! The colors are gorgeous and those leaves look so real. Love your creativity and how you add so many layers, details and textures!
ReplyDeleteSo detailed and beautiful. Autumn will be forever in this tag you have created.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Autumn art Annie!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous tag! I love the embossing folder and die, the leaf looks amazing and so beautifully showcased on your tag - perfect 😁. I hope that you are keeping well and wishing you a wonderful week! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteYou always make such beautiful things. I love that leaf tag. I have to make something new too, now that I'm home again after almost four weeks on holiday.
ReplyDeletewaue, fall colours, love it
ReplyDeleteFirst impression is a beautiful tag. Then it is so much fun enlarging the photo and picking out all the details. I love the embossed leaves both front and back but it is all the details and layering that give it that special touch. You do it so well.
ReplyDeleteWow they look amazing Annie! They look so beautiful, the backgrounds work perfectly. Great selection of dies and Autumn colours.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely Annie - and that little bow makes a delightful finishing touch. xx
