This fortnight's dictionary letter is P
I really wanted to choose postage, but since I just did mail, I kinda wanted to take a little different direction.
I chose...
........... Perch ...........
I love birds too.
It took me a few days to decide on how I wanted to illustrate this word. This game is getting tougher for me. If I were doing this project on my own, I would most likely choose a word based on some inspiration. However, being told which letter to work with is not so easy. I suppose that's why it's called a "challenge"! LOL
I found this fun striped pencil in a magazine and it just had to be included in my altered dictionary.

Simple but fun.

Your dictionary illustrations are so respectful of the dictionary, it's as if they were always there, it's really well done. It's clever using a real postage stamp and of course the pencil is just right.
ReplyDeletePerch is the best word and you have illustrated it fantastically! You are so clever. How fortunate that you had the perfect stamp for this word. Love the pencil too!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeletePerch and Pencil are Perfect! Love both of them! Might be a challenge, but you are meeting it well!
ReplyDeletePerfect!

ReplyDeleteI love this stuff you are doing with the dictionary. P isn't an easy word to start with, but you surely did a wonderful job with both words. LOVE the striped pencil and the bird on the guy's hat is too cute!
ReplyDeleteAhhh yes...challenge. To have us try something we are uncomfortable with. I would never guess you are being challenged with this dictionary altering. Your pages are extraordinary. Creative Hearts are Happy Hearts...
ReplyDeleteLove the dictionary. I have seen the book photos a few times but have only just realised that you are making an altered dictionary. I am a bit slow sometimes. It looks great and you can still use it as a dictionary.
ReplyDeleteGreat pages - love all the little images and the birdie on the hat!
ReplyDeleteHaha! When you said "a different direction" and I saw the word, I thought you were going to do a fish! LOL Beautiful work, my friend!
ReplyDeleteFabulous dictionary page, love your interpretation of the word.
