The Alpha Challenge letter this fortnight is
T
My word is telephone
I was going to enlarge a rubber stamp of a telephone, but I started looking at Internet images and suddenly was remembering the wall phone that GrandMaMa had. We kids thought that was the most fun telephone to talk on. For many years we had to stand on a little step stool to reach the mouth piece. And after you dialed a number, I loved the clicking sound the dial made on it's way back to the beginning.
So, the page is simple but the memory is big.

The telephone looks 3D on my screen. Nice telephone and very nice story.
OMG I love your phone. It sure brings back memories as our first phone was just like this. I still remember our number 4311. What a hoot! You always find the perfect things for your dictionary.
A MAZE ING!!!
That phone is awesome. What a great page with a great memory!
I miss the regular old phones. The look is great. I don't have a cell phone because I don't need to be tied to a phone 24/7.
I miss regular old phones too. For one thing - you always knew where they were!!! And, although the government feared Ma Bell becoming a monopoly, the rates were sure a heck of a lot cheaper! Great job Annie!
Great to read your telephone story! Perfect tribute to days gone by!
Those old phones are so great. I see them for sale in antique shops, they were built so well. Great memories!
The memory and your telling of it is the most important part of this page. What if you wrote that little note and attached it to the page , maybe in one of those tiny little envelopes? Provenance my dear...
Perfect for the "T"! And what fantastic memories too! Sometimes I really wish "we" could go back, if only for a day.....how fun that would be!
Hey Annie! Your telephone looks like a real phone you pasted on the dictionary page. Your memories are delightful. I remember my grandparents had a party line. Good choice for a word. I am so behind I wonder if I can catch up!

Good memories! My grandparents had a party line, just like the last comment...some funny things if you listened in. Now don't look at me like that, I was just a kid! LOL
Stunning! Love the background story.
Fantastic!I love the memories too. As Victor Hugo said: "To create is to remember"
