You know I love making postcard mail art. But it doesn't become real "mail art" unless it actually gets sent through the mail. I have a few postcards looking for good homes. If you see one you like, let me know. I'd love to turn these into "real mail art".
Bird's-eye View (paper)
No Postage Necessary (paper)
A Song in Your Soul (paper)
2wenty Thr3e (fabric)
(I'm finally ready to part with this one)
I've agreed to a couple of Valentine card swaps and got a bit carried away with ideas, so I have these Valentine theme postcards to send out if you'd like to receive a Valentine.
Sissy with Red Flowers (fabric)
Valentine Collage (paper)
Valentine Flourish (fabric)
Sometimes I get brave and just send a postcard as a surprise, but I really prefer sending a card when I know the recipient wants it and already likes it. Many people say they'd love to have "any" of my cards, but I don't really believe that. They couldn't possibly like everything I make. Heck, I don't even like everything I make! So, hint: your best chance of getting mail is to be specific about which card(s) you like best.
I don't usually share on my blog anymore the postcards that are made specifically for someone. To see all my postcards, they are posted in my flickr photostream and in my flickr postcard sets.
I can't wait to drop these cards in the mail for some
good mail days! Thank you all so much for your continued encouragement and mostly for your support in enabling me to continue making mail art.

These are awesome! The no postage necessary one cracks me up :). I have the fish one from you in my sewing room otherwise I'd put my name on one/all.
ReplyDeleteANNIE....I love your work and am always excited when something comes from you in the mail. Love 2wenty Thr3e but I don't want to be a hog and keep snuffling up your work. Although (she says with a slight smirk on her face) if you decide it should live here it will be welcomed and loved. If not, no worries. Your work should be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
ReplyDeleteAnnie! Your work is so very fun!! I love your keep a song in your heart bluebird and what fun it would be to see that every day :)
ReplyDeleteI always love Sissy but the 2wenty Thr3e is cool too. May have a new temporary address soon though as it looks like I am headed to the middle of nowhere in Arizona for job working 60 hours a week - how do you say - glutton for punishment? Great job as usual on all your cards.

ReplyDeleteIf you don't have a taker, I'd love the one with the flowers, to keep my Blue Chip bird company!
ReplyDeleteLook at all those Pretties! Your postage people are AMaZing! You are a Mail art Queen!! Keep up the great work!!
ReplyDeleteI would love any of these wonderful postcards, esp. Sissy with Red Flowers! I am already a lucky owner of one of your cards and anyone who is selected should feel EXTRA special!!
ReplyDeleteYou're a real artist, and I love your mail art. Every day I look at a card I already got from you. But there is a space for another one on that wall too. So I have my fingers crossed for the fabric card with the flower embroideries, or one of the Valentines cards. Have a super week!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? They ALL look amazing, nevertheless "Sissy with Red Flowers" makes me dreaming. It's "an invitation to the Voyage". (do you know this wonderful poem from Baudelaire? "

Thank you for sharing your creations with us.
Well look at you...you've really been a busy girl! Love each and every one, but 23 is especially interesting...(not that I want to be a hogger, or anything). Can't wait to see to whom all those beauties will go. Lucky recipients! I know how special it is to get your mail art! Keep creating....one is better than the next!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your generosity. I would love any of the valentine postcards : )

Well there are 12 people in line before me - I am lucky enough to have one of your post cards and was absolutely amazed. all of these are wonderful and I laughed when I saw the man with the postage stamp head. Now if you would like to take $$ bids on one of your quilts .....

I love your postcards. Your work is awesome. I particularly like "keep a song in your soul." Guess I don't to tell you to stay warm. I'm dreaming of my days in CA.
ReplyDeleteAnnie, you are so generous. These are beautiful and the first one is very special, so subtle and delicate and such an artistic postcard with its very fine blackbird and lovely background. I'm glad you are enjoying making them and at the same time giving us enjoyment by showing them. It was good to see a blog post today from you showing up on my sidebar.
ReplyDeleteOh Annie, you continue to amaze me! I love them all! Every day I look up and smile at the post card you made for me. Your work is very special!
ReplyDeleteAnnie those are all wonderful cards! That Sissy with the red flowers though is my favorite. I think there is something in her face that I am drawn to. Well done! I hope they all go to good homes. Perhaps this is what I need to work on small works that I too can send off to good homes as well. Thanks for your inspiration Annie as always!
ReplyDeleteI love 2wenty Thr3e, and I really like Sissy with Red Flowers, and Valentine Flourish! As you can see, I am more drawn to the fabric ones. I would love to have one of your creations!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE "Sissy with the Red Flowers", very creative. My second choice which I also like very much is "Birds Eye View". If you would like to mail to me, I'd be thrilled.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance.
Marsha
They are all awesome!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! I love your Song in Your Soul one the best, but I have a froggie one from you, so don't put my name in the draw! Love all the Valentine ones, too. You are a romantic at heart! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't ask for anything since I just rec'd my lovely envelope from you. I love all the cards, really you are the Queen Bee of mail art!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love all of your cards, you do amazing work with them.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have the 1st Valentine postcard, the one with half face female.

Oh I'm bummed I missed this! I've been obsessing over birds lately so those two are my favorite! Next time you have a bird one I'll have to be quicker to comment! :) lovely work as usual!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh! The Valentine ones are beautiful and so are the other ones! I feel lucky to have TWO from you!
ReplyDeleteI would love one of your postcards. Any is great but Sissy with Red Flowers is super. I am a great copier and I made the blue bird on stamped fabric today. Turned out so pretty. I loved the stamping look on the fabric. Was so much fun. You can put my name in your drawing any time.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm sure I'm too late but when I say I'd love to have one of your cards I mean it. I wish mine were half as good as yours.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your artwork. I especially love your bird with the keep a song in your soul. I have a friend receiving chemo and thought that would be a wonderful card to send her. Better than a get well card. Thanks for sharing all of those pretty cards.
