Altered Jars

I gave my storage jars a simple Washi Tape makeover.  It's incredibly simple and fun to look at.

The green jar on the right holds a few of my sewing machine's presser feet.  Before I put on the Washi Tape, I swiped the glass with a green Staz-On ink pad.

I think I saw this done on a tin can, but I'm a clear glass jar girl.  The tape sticks wonderfully to the glass.

Happy recycling!

  4. I, too, keep my brushes and pens and so on in clear glass jars, but unadorned. Thanks for the tip, Annie. I love Washi tape but have not bought any (well, only two rolls) because I had no use for it, but I have now.

  6. Well, how fun is that? You could do cocoa mixes for Christmas hostess gifts and decorate them with holiday tape too, I suppose. How cool would that be? Thanks for the great idea!

  11. Great idea!!! My jars and cans are all super plain. I keep thinking one day I'll alter them but this looks like a great easy way to do it!!! Now to not just hoard my washi tapes, but to use them!

  12. Well look at you! Miss Smarty Pants! :) I love it. Now I am going to have to find me some cool washi tape and make some of these for myself.
