I haven’t done much in the past couple of months except to barely keep up with my calendar journals.
November got filled in...
December got filled in and somewhat embellished throughout the month. Mostly I had to take notes on little post-its for the day then catch up later with writing in the daily block. But it did get done.
And now that I have more time, January 2018 is ready and being worked on daily.
I got some new stencils to help me embellish the scrapbook papers for a more creative look...even though designs get lost when they get written over. But it’s fun to do and that’s what matters.
I’m adjusting to having more time for myself. You wouldn’t think that would be a hard thing to do. I just hope it lasts a while.
I’m hoping to sew more. But my new tiny space is not very user friendly. I doubt anything large is going to come out of it. Luckily I like small sewing projects too.
I love looking at your calendar journal; it looks like you have been a very busy lady. You must really enjoy reading to make time for reading; you have read a lot of books. Something we have in common, just like the Frosties. I'm happy to see your post I have been concerned about no post for such a long time. Take care and Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI like your calendar journals. The blocks are fun to read, and sometimes funny. The artwork is well done for them. Do you work at Hobby Lobby?! They have great wooden boxes that I have used for decoupage projects in the past. :-) I'm not sure where you're located, but we got our first snowfall on Dec 9, also. Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYay for shorter work hours! Your calendars always keep a good record of events. I've been thinking about how useful it would be to glance back over a calendar and use the information (especially with a December calendar) to make adjustments in the next year, to remind myself of what was especially fun and rewarding and which books had the most impact, etc. They also give a time to reflect on the day and week as each happens and before details are lost or confused. Go, Connie!
ReplyDeleteI love your calendars, these are awesome. Looks like January is off to a good start.
ReplyDeleteYour New Year looks like it's off to a great start. I love your calendars. You may not be getting much sewing done but you do have a record of how busy you actually are and it's a wonderful way to remember how you have spent your days. Happy 2018
ReplyDeleteLovely to have you back sweet Annie, I’ve missed gazing in awe at the most beautiful handwriting in the world, in fact your writing is just like a piece of art in its own right!

Happy New Year Annie! Glad to see you are still creating your beautiful calendar pages and using them!
ReplyDeleteSo good to see you again in Blogland, I've missed you there.
ReplyDeleteYour calenders are such works of art and also a great diary. I would think that it takes quite a while to make each calender page even before filling it in.
"Slept in, painted my nails" - now that sounds like a lovely relaxing day. I like seeing the books you are reading.
November is glorious, looks like a happy calender and happy days, and then there is the contrast (artwise) of a cold-looking December.
Happy New Year.
I love your calendar journals. So sorry you had to deal with crabby customers. On the positive side, at least you've been doing something and have thesse wonderful journals to show for it. What an inspiration you are.
ReplyDeleteI always love your monthly journal pages. The addition of fun stencils make them even more artistic. Enjoy your time and don’t let a small space hinder your amazing Creative Bliss. xo
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the ability you have in creating with paper, stamps, pen.....give me a piece of fabric I can do it....just amazed by your talent.
ReplyDeleteYour calendars are so inspiring. Yay, for more time for you!
