A few postcards that have been sent out as mail art.
This first one is spray inked with Distress Inks for the background. Stamped with words and a butterfly. Then die cuts from white cardstock.
Next is my most recent abstract with acrylic paints, Washi tapes, stamping and my favorite supply, modeling paste.
Last is this postcard stamped on scrapbook paper with this awesome type writing machine stamp. I just love this old type design.
All I added was Washi tape pieces of alphabet and the woman is also Washi tape trimmed very close. I have a pen pal friend who loves typewriters as I do.
Wishing everyone a happy mail day!
These are awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat typewriter is cool!

ReplyDeleteHappy Brilliant Art...<3
You created some beautiful mail art again, Annie! Lucky recipients! My favorite is the second one.

Wonderful, all three. I am especially drawn to the butterfly with red and yellow and the die cut flowers are fabulous. That typewriter stamp is fantastic. As always I am amazed at how you put it all together.
ReplyDeleteThe second, abstract, is terrific. I wonder if you just start and keep adding or if you know where you are going. Maybe a combination of both? Pretend stitching and pretend black coffee stains (haha!) are fun. Annie Banannie makes fun abstracts.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, old type wonky splotchy print and lots of ladies (yes they were ladies - were there any men at at all?) in offices typing away all day - were these the good old days? Makes me want to get out my typewriter again, but for fun not work.
Of course I love the first too with these great oranges and reds and the bits of text.
Annie Banannie makes bantastic postcards.
You are so talented!!! I love These! Your attention to fine detail such as the modeling piece or washi tape it's always brings peace over the top! I especially love the typewriter. I bought that stamp and haven't opened it yet. I have been meaning to but haven't had the time to play. I'm definitely thinking I need to drag it out... I may have to steal your idea and do it on some scrapbook paper as well♡ that lady washi tape is Fabulous by the way!
ReplyDeleteMore awesome works of art. Love the typewriter card.
