And March went along like so...
I'm almost completely happy with this calendar journaling style. I've only one struggle left to overcome. I can't use markers or gel pens of any kind, as they can be seen through the paper to the previous or next month. I have been searching for colored ink pens that write well and have tossed quite a bit of money into the trash can. The pens come home with me, they either don't write nicely or the ink blobs up at the tip, so off to the trash they go. Any suggestions?
Now on to my birthday month. I've already spent some enjoyable time purchasing a few new toys for myself. I love me an Amazon rewards gift card!
Happy Spring!

I love you calendar journal. I wanted to start something like it as would be nice to have a record of what I have done for the year. OH well, I can enjoy seeing yours. Maybe next year.
Love it Annie, gives me an excuse to drool over your gorgeous writing ;) have you tried sigma micron pens? Fude ball pens? Don't know what to suggest as I don't keep diaries as I'm too boring unlike you of course ;) your birthday in April too...yay!

I keep trying to find a way to keep an organized journal, but continue to end up working the same way I have for years. I love that your journal is not only attractive, but easy to comprehend! :) What about using colored pencils?
I always love seeing your journal pages....but your beautiful penmanship puts me to shame. (hanging my head) I can't even read my own writing -- that's how bad it is!
Print out your own calendar so there's nothing on the back? (That's what I did - I'm such a rebel to waste paper like that. :-)
Great journal. Have you tried Fude pens(Japanese)? They come in black, blue, and red. Permanent ink, medium nib. I just tried my red one on my daily calendar (inexpensive-thin paper)and the ink didn't bleed through the paper. Thanks for sharing your talent.
I have never made a calendar journal, Annie. I find them so ver intimidating and, well, permanent! Yours here is like a work or art, however. You have gorgeous handwriting. No answer about your "bleeding" problem from me!
There you go making my heart go pity pat again - your printing is divine. What a work of art - looks fantastic Annie!

Today came the cute bird to me! He made me so happy, and I put him into my blog as fast I could. I wish you a happy spring too. And I love your calendar journal. You are writing so very beautiful.
What a neat month you had. Your hand-writing is just about perfect. If you ever find the perfect pen, let me know. I'm settling down with Pigma Microns, and I also use the Sakura pens - an assorted variety including the divine sparkly ones - but I don't know if they bleed through thinner papers.
Very simple calendar pages. As for the paper being thin for many pens...have you tried ZIG writers by Kuretake. They have a 1.2mm broad end and a 0.5mm thin end and come in lots of colors. At about $2.99 each I love them and learned about them from Lindsay Ostrom...Creator of Cuteness. I don't know about your paper showing through though. April Birthday? We celebrate 17 birthdays in April. What day is yours? Embracing Creative Bliss.
Your journal is a work of art! Have you tried Frixion pens? They have some fine tip ones and they don't show through.
Fabulous pages Annie, you are so neat! Don't have any suggestions for the pens I'm afraid, I've just ordered some Dina Wakely pens (black & white) but think they are more for art journaling. I'm sure you've tried Sigma Microns and gel pens ... I don't have any other brilliant suggestions sorry! Deb xo
You are so neat, I should show you my calendar....embarrassing.
