Sunday Postcard Art - Blue/Silver

View From the Stars
this week the theme for the
Sunday Postcard Art Challenge is
Blue and Silver

Since Christmas wrap is still surrounding me in my studio space, I thought it might be fun to see how some of this silver star wire garland would play out on a postcard.  The card is also top stitched with silver metallic thread.  The rubber stamp is by Hampton Art.

I have two postcards now needing homes.  This one, (which would need to travel inside an envelope for I fear there'd be no stars upon it's naked arrival), and these

Desert Flowers ...

...that see all with their googlie eye centers.  (I might suggest an envelope for this one as well.  Googlie eyes are pretty tough, but maybe not as tough as our postal workers).

This postcard, # Man

arrived at his destination naked with no flower for his new owner and no shoes as well a couple of joints missing.  This was my very first sad experience with mailing a naked postcard.

Holiday Joy,
Annie

I love your postcards. You are so creative. I've been wanting to try one but been too afraid. Maybe I can do something like those flowers. They are my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

Great blue and silver card, Annie, I love the free stars and the face in the square, a nice composition. And of course I love the Googlie eyed flowers, looking rather apprehensive (at the thought of going through the mail?) and Mr. Numbers man with his flower.

Have you seen the googlie eyes in the baking isle at Target? They make me laugh every time. They look just like normal ones only they are bits of candy. Not a good choice for a post card...but fun.

Your postcards are wonderful. Especially the blue which is my heartthrob. This time of year is especially difficult for mailings. Most of my envelopes with cards and my utility bills are shredded and crumpled when I receive them in my mailbox. Very frustrating indeed. Holiday Bliss...

Annie...they're both (all three) simply wonderful...as usual. I think the coolest thing is that you used what was laying near you. Works for me!

You, for sure, are the postcard QUEEN!! Love them all and I'm so sorry for the loss of parts for your poor man. We all have been deflowered at some point in life! lol

Annie, I love your latest creations! So sorry to hear about # Man losing some parts. I am so fortunate that Little Red Birdie travelled so well and continues to chirp from his perch in my sewing corner. Have a wonderful and creative Christmas!

I think this one with flowers is one of my favorites of all of the cards you have made. I love them all, but this one really strikes my fancy since I love flowers. I am glad to be able to follow and see your amazing creativity.
