F is this fortnight's letter for the Alpha Challenge at The Craft Barn and it comes with the twist to choose a word between Fe through Fr.
I have chosen the word fop. This is not a word I previously knew, but it's a dandy.....literally!
Again, I have printed the images onto tracing paper, cut them out and pasted them to the page.
I'm trying to pull myself back to basics with this project. Lately I've gotten carried away adding more to a page than I originally intended.
Fop is my word for the alpha challenge, but I couldn't resist altering a couple more pages.
Flourish
and
Fountain Pen
I think I've known a fop or two in my days. I just wish I had known the word fop back then! :-)
Happy Day to you!

Hi Annie, well you and me both, I didn't know the word either ;-0
Love your dandies though, lovely page. Hugs Frea
Ha Ha - fop is a good choice! The page turned out great.
I so love your pages. Gorgeously simple and hugely effective.
:)
Fop, what a great word!! And more amazing pages. You are going to have the coolest dictionary when yo are done!
Wow, three pages, they all look fabulous.
by the time you're done, that dictionary is going to be worth $$, it'll be so cool! All GREAT depictions of fantastic creativity, my dear! Bravo!
Very nice work, Annie, and the word "fop" is a perfect word to be in this dictionary. I would have been a bit nervous to be stamping the large red flourish, but you managed it just fine. I like the way the pen is pointing to its word, that's clever.
Great choice of word. I learned something. I didn't know it meant that. I can see why you had to continue and add flourish. Love it!
Fop is the sort of word you would find in Victorian literature. You illustrated it well. (I fear my oldest son may be headed that way, but he seems to have more substance than the typical dandy.)
I never knew that was a word...I much prefer flourish! But I think you illustrated all the words really well...the pages are all so wonderful!
Love it! Again, so incredible. I, myself am not a fop, not even the female version. :) I will likely use that word too...hehe
Fop is one of those words that really doesn't sound like it should based on its definition. I do like your style with the simplicity of your images on each of the words and pages you selected. Can you imagine telling a finely dressed gentleman now days that he is a "fop:?! Oh Dear...
I like that word "fop". I've only seen it in Victorian novels. Your gentlemen are quite foppish indeed. Love your pages.
I think you've found the perfect illustrations and pulling back to basics is definitely working! Awesome dictionary Annie. It's fun to think of your grandchildren opening it.
Annie it's amazing how you have these great stamps and the perfect one for fop! Oh but I do like that flourish one too.
Think you get the hat trick there with THREE pages/words. Learnt a new word again, fop, although no need to use it in this house - LOL. BJ
Teaching me a new word here! I , too, have known some fops in my life - good to know how to name them officially... Looking great - all the 3 spreads!
Love your choice for F. In all the historical novels a well dressed fop would b wearing a bright blue long tailed jacket and tight yellow breeches/Pantaloons. What a sight they must have cut and made many of the ladies swoon! Hugs Mrs a.
Great pages! The simplicity makes it look like an illustrated dictionary!!
Great pages - love the simplicity sometimes less is definitely more! MMx
All of them are great! Love the words too! I have also known a fop or two...LOL
Well you go for it Annie -- Your fops are very handsome and I am sure Jane Austin would agree. Every Fop carries a wonderful flourish and of course has his fountain pen at the ready. What would a fop do if he could not drop a note or two to his latest fancy!
Sandy
Love your page and AI must try out the tracing paper technique - it is very affective.
love your Fop, very Regency Beau Brummel !
Wonderful as always. Printed as in computer printing or stamped?
Great word choice! And those images are super too! x
Fop is a fabby word choice...and I love your simplistic approach to the challenge...less is definitely more :)
A great word - I love it.
Fabulous fop page, love the flourish and fountain pen pages too.
