Sissy Envelope Art

Sissy
the world traveler

.....more envelope art.....

Renee has never received her original Sissy envelope, so I wanted to give her mail route another chance.  Hooray, this Sissy arrived in a whole weeks time!

9" X 12" envelope

I'm thinking Renee's mail thief only wanted one Sissy envelope for his/her collection of stolen mail.  While making this envelope I kept thinking of the phrase "Your number's up".  A bit of a play on the phrase in more than one way.

I seem to like creating two Sissys at a time.

Carol loved her Sissy Letter so there absolutely needed to be another.

9" X 12" envelope

I try to be a little more whimsical in the design when it comes to Carol.  And it's pretty fun writing these make believe letters.  And I really love creating these Sissy envelopes!

A good mail day to you all,
Annie

What amazes me is not how it doesn't arrive but how it does; these are delectable works of art, wandering alone and unprotected in the world. I particularly like the text bluebird and the way you use the lovely postage stamps.

Each are individual works of art, so fun! Your envelopes are absolutely great mail days :)

Sissy is adorable! She makes me smile...and I bet the recipients did too! Nice to hear that the second Sissy arrived safely!

Annie you should do a tutorial on how you make those cute stamped pictures. Not being a stamper (is that the correct terminology?) I have no idea how you get one stamp superimposed over what appears to be another stamp - or is that your personal hand drawn artwork? Funny letter about your fashionable twins!

I LOVE the Sissy envelopes, but especially the stories. One is better than the next and to be honest, I really wish Annie would continue the stories on the back of the envelope.....although, perhaps then it really would become steal worthy. I am so honored to be a recipient of this amazing artwork!! Thank you sweetie!

This is so fabulously fun. I cannot believe you wrote that letter on the front of the envelope. Any letter carrier would love to deliver (and read) your mail! Sissy wants to do more traveling...More More More!!!

You know Annie - it really is a compliment that you are so talented (and you are) the first post card you sent me did not get to me either. So you have gone from post cards to envelopes to letters! The way you print, I would be doing letters too!! I love your calendars when they are all filled in! Love that envelope and with a letter to go with it - now that is what I call a bonus!!!!

I'm so happy with my Sissy envelope. She has a place of honor in my studio so I can look at her every day! Thank you. I love the Sissy stories too. I keep wondering where in the world is Sissy now? Don't stop.
