Envelope Art and Journaling

Another torn tracing paper envelope that I can't part with.  But I did make another one to send out into the world. (Sending photocopies has left me feeling like a cheesy schmuck.  No more photocopied mail art!)

I tried to make the layout exact, (so that I wouldn't have to admit that I couldn't part with this one) but if the first stamping doesn't land in the right place, exact can't happen.  So it turned out to be a slight variation of this original.

And here are my most recent journal pages with bits of stamping art added to break up the boringness of my life.

Creative time is at a minimum around here.  But that's better than nil and I will take what I can get.

Handmade things can't be exactly duplicated, but that's the beauty in it! So bald you have found your passion if only in snipers of time.

that's supposed to be "so GLAD"….not bald. Duh!

Haha, I was staring at the third comment trying to work out the puzzle of what "bald" was supposed to be, thanks for a good puzzle and a good laugh when I found the solution, Carol.

Hello Annie, yes I have this problem all the time with original artwork, I did three quilt swaps once and they were two of the best I had to give away. I can see why you don't want to give this super envelope away, in fact I don't know how you can part with most of your artwork. I love this birdie and his background and you do have spectacular postage stamps over there.
Sounds as if you had quite a pleasant end of May and start of June, I love reading about your leisure time, I imagine you lying back on your chaise-longue with your book and maybe a cool drink.

I love how you use your stamp art in your journal and your text is so neat and tidy! As for The Book Thief, I saw the movie and thought it was so, so good! Perhaps I should read the book too...it was such a thought provoking story.
