Calendar Journal

This is quite an interesting and terrifying historic time to be documenting my daily existence.  It’s mind-boggling that the entire world is experiencing a pandemic of COVID-19.

I’m still loving my inks and pens that use them.  I am now a new fountain pen addict.  I found these TWSBI ECO fountain pens.  I am a fountain pen dummy and I’m sure they made these TWSBIs just for me.  How kind of them.  Especially love that I can get them with an extra fine nib.

I’ve used my glass dip pen and my fountain pen for journaling during March.

I’m not one of many who are going stir crazy at home.  I LOVE staying at home.  Right now it’s a trial run for retirement.  I may not return to work I’m loving it so much.
I’ve plenty of time for getting some months ahead ready for journaling.  I thought June turned out especially bright and happy looking.

I love that postage stamp of those happy ladies.  Thank you Sheila for sending that with so many others...so long ago.  I love pawing through those stamps.

It feels a little strange for a perfectionist to embrace some sloppiness.  Hey wait!...that’s not sloppy, it’s artistic!  Oh, so that’s how I’m okay with it.  Yay!

Not all the months turn out so pleasing to me.  Once they are written all over they always seem to look a little better.  In any case, I love this simple calendar journaling within a 1-1/8 inch or so space.

I wish the world safety.

I like all the reading. Liking reading is a wonderful thing and a great occupation/education/inspiration.....
Hope you are completely well again now.
This diary page has a strange other-worldy look to it - maybe it's the strange pen, the woman on the left, the tickets?
How nice that you are enjoying a past gift of stamps. The ladies laughing do look like a good stamp, I wonder which country they came from.....just looked and there is the Queen so I know now where it came from.
Ah, "sloppy is artistic" -that's right. I have a little story about that which I will tell you about later.
I love washi tape - who doesn't? - and I really like the last photo showing art materials.
June looks like it will be a good month.

I love what you have been doing lately. Well I really like everything you do The fountain pen work is wonderful. I remember using them for real in school so many years ago. First with ink bottles then with ink cartridges. My fav ink color was peacock blue. Haven't thought of that in years. And yes sealing wax was a bit tricky back in the day.

Your March spread looks great - its an interesting way to journal. I have a daily bullet journal and I keep trying to add info about the virus and its spread - may be of interest to someone one day. They do say once you retire you wonder how you ever had time to work! I agree, there are far too many interesting things out there to play around with. Happy Easter. xx

I look forward to seeing your Calendar pages they are always fun and interesting. I like the format with the circles and spaces between the rows. Are the numbers near the bottom of the circles, for steps?
I am old enough to remember using a fountain pen and a dipping pen. Our school desk had a hole on the top for an ink well. There was nothing as fun and interesting as your glass pens and colored inks.
A little bit of staying home from work sure whets the appetite for retirement.
Take care, Stay safe and Happy Easter

I love your calendars! Last year, I tried to follow your example and failed miserably, but at least I have your lovelies to admire.

Love your calendar. I can't get over all the books you have read this past month. I can't seem to focus and our library is closed and I did download some books but I prefer to have a book in my hands. Maybe it's the focus thing. Sorry you were sick, but at least you didn't get this virus! Stay well!

What fun it is to see your calendars! You have been doing them for quite a long time and you haven't wavered at all! Each month so creative and different. I think I lasted almost 2 years 😥 This is an interesting time to document. Your writing has always been so neat and pretty but those pens and inks just elevate to another level!

Loving your calendars as always, I'm so sorry you were sick but happy that you're better now. Your reading list blows my mind as usual, I'm still slowly reading the book "Salt". Stay well, I'm also one who does not mind staying at home and do not feel the need to be out and about. I get very anxious now just going to the grocery store. Are you making masks? If so I'm sure they are wonderful!
