Rapid Transit Tag

This fortnight tag challenge from DragonsDream Tag It On is to have TEXTURE and use the color YELLOW and as always, to use one rubber stamp.

I don't use texture paste, so I had to figure out another way to add texture.  The bee is embossed with black and I added stitches all around.  I hope those count for texture.

The background on the front and back is scrapbook paper.

I was really stumped for an idea for this challenge.

Here's what I have done with my tags.

Do you see that old skate key hanging there too?  Yes, from my actual steel wheel skates from my youth.  For the youngens, you needed that key to tighten the skate clamps to your shoe soles.  We didn't realise it at the time, but skating was a lot work.  Those wheels weren't made for coasting very far.

It hasn't taken long to fill that dowel.  So I went looking for more display places.

I love these two old suitcases and the new Hobby Lobby trunks where I keep my precious received mail art.

Have a happy day.
Hugs,
Annie

I think you have given the tag texture. I like it. I also like your ideas for displaying the finished tags. Don't know what happened to my key. But this brought back some great memories, thanks.

Love your tags

The dowel is a great idea. It reminds me of the racks they sell to runners to hang all their medals on (but yours is way cooler). And what, if I may ask, is texture paste? Sounds like it might be messy. Or fun. Or both. :-)

Annie, I love the display of all your creative tags! Love the bee tag and yes, I do think embossing and stitching adds texture. I have a skate key too! Brings back memories of the good old days...hehe!

Your bee tag is terrific, such a good design on a little tag. I like the way you have used a little yellow and made texture with stitch not texture paste (not my favourite medium). Love the minimalist back too.
Your row of tags looks marvellous, I have tried to examine each one and of course recognise some of them. That's a great way to display them and you've give me a good display idea for an exhibition. I also like the tags hanging about on the suitcase, so you can catch sight of them when you pass by.

Once again you have met the challenge with a terrific tag. To my mind the reason for creating is to see it and enjoy it and I love the way you have the tags displayed.

Oh, how I love your tags.... I want to learn how to make some for my luggage. I seldom travel,it's usually for business, and I'm thinking that a tag on each bag would cheer me up! I'm going to look back thru your posts to see how you did them...love this one best so far - the little bee is so cheerful!

That dowel is a simple and effective way of displaying your tags. I think it works wonderfully. And, yes, stitching definitely counts as texture. You may have been stumped with this challenge but I think you created a wonderful little tag.
