Fabric Book Pages

I haven’t played in this Fabric Book for quite a long time.  8 years!  Where the heck does the time go?  And why so fast?

I stitched this lady last month from a page torn from a Cross Stitch magazine years ago.  There was no reference on the page to the magazine or the designer.  The design was originally intended as a sachet pillow, I think.

I wasn’t sure what to do with her as I stitched.  Then I remembered the fabric book of eclectic pieces I started.  She fit right onto a page.

I knew I had stitched this cute Cat piece.  But I didn’t remember finishing it and it was another piece I thought was long lost.  So many surprises lately when I sort and purge.

He also fit well in my fabric book of sorts.  I just don’t want to frame everything or make all the pieces into pillows.  But I want to enjoy them, so I’m glad I remembered (came across while sorting and purging) my book.

The pieces work out so nicely in the book.

October 2020 went along as such...

For my fellow nosey Parkers who want all the fine details...

Annie, your book idea is great! I think I could use it for orphan quilt blocks! Seeing your calendar journal is always inspirational and a good read!😉

Great idea. I have so many finished pieces and don't know what to do with them. You can have so many framed. This will work better.

October seems to have been a great month of reading and stitching. Thanks for showing the full calendar for us who like to see what you have been doing, always interesting.
The cat cross stitch is really good and the words are so true.
I like how you have presented the lady with the dark background and lace. I don't think she wants to be in a book, she wants to be out and about and admired but at the same time I like your idea of a fabric book/textile journal which seems a lot better than having the pieces lying in a box.
I'm very much enjoying your blog resurgence and it's so good to see older things come out to be admired.

Happy Retirement, Annie! The cat cross stitch is so cheerful...and accurate, as I fight for a place in my computer chair. :)

I am a nosey Parker who always enjoys your calendar pages. I get inspired by seeing what you are doing, especially during this time when I am not getting together with my quilting friends who always gave me inspiration.
I love the idea of your fabric book for things your want to enjoy but don't want to make into something. I like the way you finished the edges of the cross stitch fabric on the kitty.
